Kent Sport, the Kent and Medway Active Partnership, is currently reviewing:

Towards an Active County

The Strategic Framework for Sport and Physical Activity in Kent and Medway (2017-21)

As part of the consultation process we are seeking your initial views and opinions.

Following a series of consultations, a new, updated framework will be published in 2021.

COMPLETE THE CONSULTATION

The vision for sport and physical activity in the county is “More People, More Active, More Often.”

The scope of the framework includes both sport and physical activity for all ages. It focuses on formal and informal sport and physical activities relating to physical exercise, but excludes personal home activities such as gardening, housework and DIY.

Physical education is within the curriculum and delivered directly by schools and the Strategic Framework is designed to complement and support this with an emphasis on non-curricular and community sport and physical activity.

This consultation aims to capture a wide variety of views across the county on the following areas:

  1. The aim for sport and physical activity in Kent and Medway
  2. Key principles for the development of sport and physical activity
  3. The priorities for the development of sport and physical activity in Kent and Medway
  4. Other underpinning themes
  5. General thoughts on reducing inactivity and the future for sport and physical activity.

The survey should take no longer than 20 minutes and we appreciate your time. You can read more about the background and context for the framework by clicking this link.

The deadline for replies is 3 February 2021.

Thank you in advance for your feedback. If you have any questions please contact us at andrea.murphy@kent.gov.uk.
