Alzheimer’s Society Dementia-friendly communities programme encourages everyone to share responsibility for ensuring that people with dementia feel understood, valued and able to contribute to their community.

They have produced a number of free practical guides which highlight the many ways that sports and physical activity organisations can better support people affected by dementia.

Sport and Activity Guide

The Sport and Activity guide shares good practice and creative ideas from across the sector. It aims to inform and educate individuals and organisations so they have a better understanding of dementia and how it affects people. It also provides tools and guidance so that the sector can help more people affected by dementia lead more active lives.
