Daniel is a member of the GB Podium Programme for Cross Country Mountain Biking.  In 2017 Daniel became the National Junior cross country mountain biking champion and finished 2nd in the Junior World Cyclocross championships.

His long term aims include competing in the 2020 Olympic Games, to become World Mountain Bike Champion and to win Paris Roubaix or Tour of Flanders.
