21st to 25th November is #iwillWeek, a campaign by the organisation #iwill to celebrate the impact young people are making and to encourage people to get involved in making a difference in their communities. The week is focused on celebrating young people involved with volunteering, campaigning and fundraising, all of which create a double-benefit – to communities and to young people themselves.
All week, #iwill are asking supporters to highlight the benefits of youth social action, through events and activities across the country. If you’re running an event or project that involves young people in campaigning, fundraising or volunteering, then let #iwill know and get involved with the campaign. At Kent Sport, we recognise volunteering as crucial both to the delivery of sport in the county, and to the development of young people. Through programmes such as the Kent School Games, we have involved young volunteers to help deliver events and bring sport to other children and young people across the county – to the benefit of the volunteers themselves, and the thousands of children who take part in the events.
