29 March - 'Kent's Big Day Out'

Spring - Briefing on Cultural Olympiad Brand (including 'InspiredBy' / non-commercial brand)

6 April - Bejing Torch in UK (for one day only)

24 April - Young People's Dover Olympic Conference - a colourful extravaganza celebrating young people's imaginings of the Olympic Torch

27 April - 1908 Olympic Opening Ceremony was 100 years ago today

16 May - Kent Volunteering Events Team launched

8 August - 24 August - Beijing Olympic Games

24 August – UK’s Cultural Olympiad begins - Hand Over Ceremony

Autumn – London Organising Committee start placing contracts relating to “staging” the Games

6 September - 17 September - Beijing Paralympic Games

24 August - 5 September - Paralympic Torch visiting our shores (first time Paralympic Torch has done this)

Autumn - Launch of Cultural Olympiad

17 September - 'Kent 20 in 12' Education Plan launched
